How It Works

Everything You Need to Know

Whether you're buying, selling, or just getting started — here's how Heartland Machinery Auctions works, from our equipment yard just south of Omaha, Nebraska to online bidding open to buyers anywhere.

Click "Create Account"

You'll find the button in the top right corner of any page, or on any auction catalog page.

FAQ

Common Questions

Is there a fee to create an account?

No. Creating an account is completely free. You only pay if you win an item at auction.

Why do you need my credit card to register?

We verify your card to confirm your identity as a serious bidder. Your card is not charged — a temporary $0-$1 hold may appear and will be released automatically. Card processing is handled securely by Square.

Can I bid online if I can't attend in person?

Yes. All of our auctions have live online bidding. You can bid from your phone, tablet, or computer in real-time alongside on-site bidders.

What happens after I win an item?

You'll receive immediate confirmation with payment and pickup details. Payment is typically due within the timeframe specified in the auction terms, and equipment must be picked up by the stated deadline.

How do I sell my equipment?

Fill out our sell form or call Jamison directly at (531) 215-2900. We'll provide a free market estimate and walk you through every step.

How long until I get paid after my equipment sells?

We handle all buyer payments and settlement on your behalf, and pay your net proceeds — typically within 10 banking days after buyer funds are collected and any liens are released.

Do you handle the photography and marketing?

Yes. We photograph every lot, write detailed descriptions, and promote your equipment through our national and international buyer network. You don't have to do anything.
